The Marketing Society Star Awards are central to promoting excellence and the vision of helping build a world class marketing community in Scotland. These awards are judged by a wide cross section of senior marketers across most sectors in our community. The panels will be chaired by Hugh Burkitt, Chief Executive of The Marketing Society.

The awards night, at The Corn Exchange in Edinburgh on the 21st May, will be a memorable opportunity to celebrate making your mark with your colleagues, competitors and clients.

Each year these Awards add to our resources on marketing excellence with winning case studies from 2009 available to all and previous winners/short-listed entries 2006-2008 available to our members. Please read these entry criteria carefully as there have been some changes based on feedback from the 2009 Awards.

If you missed our Awards Workshop and are looking for inspiration on how to write a winning paper, here are David Amer’s (from The Leith Agency) Top Tips.

You will also note that the Strategic Category has been developed in line with the UK Marketing Society Awards for Excellence. You are encouraged to enter both sets of awards as they will be judged by different panels. This gives Scottish based companies the opportunity to shine on the UK stage. The deadline for the UK awards is 15th February 2010.

We realise that 2009 has been an exceptionally tough year but we are sure that many marketers will still have inspiring stories of how they made their mark during the recession.

We look forward to receiving your entries.
