HOW TO MAKE YOUR MARK!

All entries must be logged on the website by 5pm on Monday the 15th of February 2010.

Plan well in advance - you should start gathering the information for your entry well in advance of this deadline.

Remember the structure of a good story has a beginning, middle and end and ideally contain a big idea or key insight.

A well written and well presented case study should have the judges interested all the way through.

Whilst there is a limit to the word count of entries – this is not a target. If you can tell your story effectively with less words then do so.

For more help and advice on how to write a great paper, why not come along to our Awards Workshop on 15th January at the offices of Hudson, Edinburgh. Speakers include David Amers, Planning Director at The Leith Agency and Suzanne Casey from Visit Scotland.

The Marketing Society Star Awards are designed to be accessible to organisations of every size and description across all sectors – client and agency.

Your submissions will be judged against the marketing achievements of all types of business rather than just those of direct competitors in your industry sector.

Entrants should provide independent and robust data that supports the claims made. The judges will give more weight to quantitative data and comparable trend data over time. Key measures which should ideally be included are sales, profit, market share and customer attitudes.
